In this video, I take a closer look at LuqEE, a hosted solo-mining platform that gives users access to rented mining power without having to deal with hardware costs, electricity bills, heat, noise, repairs or complicated miner setup.
We walk through the LuqEE dashboard, connect BTC and BCH wallet addresses, compare the available hashrate plans, look at weekly, monthly and annual pricing, and examine how Power Passes, mining boosts and Power Mining Events work.
Plans currently start with 100 GH/s for $2.99 per week, with additional options ranging from 1 TH/s up to 50 TH/s. Users can choose Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash or divide their rented mining power between both networks.
The biggest question is whether the block-finding claims are legitimate.
I investigate Bitcoin Cash block #961818 and compare the block height, date, reward and mining-pool information against public blockchain and pool data. The block and MolePool connection can be publicly verified, although the blockchain itself cannot independently prove which individual LuqEE account was assigned the winning work.
We also compare LuqEE against buying physical solo Bitcoin miners such as Bitaxe, NerdQaxe, NerdOCTA and other lottery miners.
