The PEARL mining situation is getting even messier.
Kryptex became the largest PEARL mining pool while unusual hashrate spikes appeared across several pools during the exploit. According to the PEARL team’s announcement discussed in this video, Kryptex contained both legitimate miners and actors who may have taken advantage of the exploit.
Because Kryptex allows PEARL miners to auto-exchange their earnings, the PEARL team asked SafeTrade to temporarily freeze related funds while the investigation continues.
That creates a major problem for legitimate miners.
Your GPUs can still be doing the work, consuming electricity and submitting shares — but payouts connected to the investigation may remain frozen until legitimate miners can be separated from exploiters.
