How You Actually Own Bitcoin
Your Bitcoin isn’t actually stored inside your hardware wallet. So where is it—and what does a hardware wallet actually do?
In this video, I’m using the OneKey Classic 1S to break down how Bitcoin ownership and self-custody actually work. We’ll look at private keys, public keys, Bitcoin addresses, recovery phrases, digital signatures, and how a hardware wallet lets you safely authorize Bitcoin transactions without exposing your private keys to the internet.
Along the way, I’ll set up the OneKey Classic 1S from scratch, send and receive Bitcoin, recover the wallet using its recovery phrase, and show exactly what happens when you sign a Bitcoin transaction.
