Is the Bitfortun BS-1 actually hashing what its dashboard says it is?
In this video I test a serious hashrate discrepancy discovered by HarloLabs while reverse engineering the Bitfortun BS-1 and its BM1373 firmware. HarloLabs found code that appears to add roughly 400 GH/s to the hashrate shown on the miner dashboard and LCD.
I then tested my own BS-1. My pool was averaging around 4.9–5.0 TH/s while the miner dashboard was reporting roughly 5.3–5.4 TH/s.
The biggest test came when I intentionally entered an invalid pool address. The BS-1 showed that Stratum was NOT connected — yet the miner display still reported 400 GH/s.
That does NOT mean the mining pool is receiving fake shares or that pool payouts are being inflated. The issue shown here is the hashrate being displayed locally by the miner versus the actual work being seen pool-side.
