Are Bitcoin miners actually delivering the hashrate they claim? In this video I put four popular solo Bitcoin miners through a full 1-hour hashrate audit using my own Rabid Mining Hub and BCH solo mining node. I compare three separate measurements: the hashrate shown on the miner’s dashboard, the miner’s raw local API data, and the actual mining work independently verified by my own Stratum server.
The four miners tested are the BitFortun BS-1, NexusS1, OctaAxe Hydro, and THOR P2. The results are very different. The NexusS1 and OctaAxe Hydro matched extremely closely across the test. The BitFortun BS-1 showed a repeatable +400 GH/s difference between its dashboard display and raw API, while its verified Stratum work during the same hour came in much closer to the displayed number. The THOR P2 dashboard and raw API matched almost perfectly at roughly 9.97 TH/s, but its independently verified Stratum work came in lower at 8.46 TH/s, making it a miner I want to test for much longer.
