In this video, we test the Magic Miner 40T (HQ01), a 40 TH/s SHA-256 Bitcoin ASIC, and see how it performs in two 24-hour Rabid Mining audits. This unit was sent to me by Red Panda Mining to test. We check whether the hashrate the miner reports matches the work the pool actually accepts, how many watts it pulls at the wall, and how efficient it is in each mode.

24-HOUR AUDIT RESULTS (Harlo firmware v0.1.49)
Low power mode (500 MHz): 29.713 TH/s verified, 479 W, about 62 GH/W (roughly 16.1 J/TH), 10,117 accepted shares, 0 rejected, 100% uptime. Reported hashrate was off by about 1%.
High power mode (675 MHz): 41.22 TH/s verified, 713 W, about 57.8 GH/W (roughly 17.3 J/TH), 9,397 accepted shares, 0 rejected, 100% uptime. Reported hashrate was off by about 0.45%.
The 50 TH/s mode at 815 W overheated after about 10 minutes in my test, so I couldn’t complete a 24-hour run on it.

Price is about $799 at Helium Deploy. Batches sell out, so check the page for current availability and shipping dates. Mining results can change with Bitcoin price, difficulty, and power costs, and solo mining is a lottery, so test the numbers against your own electricity rate before buying.
