Is GPU mining finally making a comeback in 2026?! After spending months renting out my dual NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPUs on Vast.ai, I’ve decided to take a gamble and move them over to mining Pearl, where some miners are reporting some absolutely INSANE daily profits! But getting these two powerhouse graphics cards up and running on HiveOS wasn’t nearly as easy as I expected, and I quickly ran into some unexpected challenges. With the goal of mining Pearl and getting paid directly in Bitcoin, I put both RTX 5090s to the test to see what kind of performance, efficiency, and profitability they’re actually capable of delivering. Can these two GPUs really generate enough Bitcoin to make GPU mining worth it again, or is this another case of profits that look too good to be true?!
