GPU mining is BACK in 2026. Ever since Ethereum moved to Proof of Stake, GPU mining has been rough for four or five years. Now, with so many miners finally quitting, the GPU reset has begun and the GPUs that are still running are profitable again, mostly thanks to Pearl. For the first time in years, my GPUs are out-earning my CPU rigs.
In this update I go over why GPU mining profitability is coming back, why Pearl is the most profitable GPU coin since Ethereum, and how it still compares to Ethereum’s old $21M to $64M a day in emissions. I also cover Pearl’s upcoming prover change to tensor cores that could leave RTX 3000 and 4000 series cards behind, why I ordered my first RTX 5070 Ti, my OctoMiner X8 and X12 rigs, the XBT Blake2B ASICs on the way, the CMP 210 on Quantus (QTC), and the power upgrades I need for the mining farm.
