Goldshell KD Box to BLAKE2b (XBT): Which Kadena Miners Can Switch, Plus a Safer Script
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
📌 VIDEO DESCRIPTION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
KDA miners are being turned into Blake2B XBT miners, and people are FOMO buying boxes for $30-$40 before they know which ones actually work. In this video I break down which Goldshell KDA miners are confirmed, which only look promising, and which ones to avoid for now.
We cover the KD5 Pro (officially supports switching Kadena to Sia), the original KD Box reportedly hitting about 800 GH/s on Blake2B with a community script, the KD5 and KD2, models with no reports yet (KD Lite, KD6, KD6SE, KD Max), and why the KD Box Pro is the wrong chip. I also explain why this is possible: Kadena uses Blake2S (32-bit), Sia and XBT use Blake2B (64-bit), and the CA586 chip family may be the key.
WARNING: This is unofficial, untested and unverified. I haven’t seen working accepted shares from most of these models, and newer firmware blocks SSH. If you try any of this and brick your miner, that’s on you. Profitability on the cheapest boxes may still be red. Do your own research first.
