I might have been wrong about GPU mining, and it’s time to put that to the test with an eight-card RTX 5060 mining rig! Today, I’m pulling an old Octominer R8 out of retirement and loading it with used and refurbished GPUs—but this build has a few surprises waiting for me. From unexpected hardware discoveries to a rig that doesn’t want to cooperate, getting back into GPU mining isn’t quite as simple as plugging everything in.
