Cryptocurrency Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) is outpacing the S&P 500 during the ongoing market panic, according to Jamie Coutts, chief crypto analyst at Real Vision.
What Happened: Coutts noted Bitcoin’s relatively lower level of correction, despite its typical volatility, compared to its historical price fluctuations.
In a post on X on Saturday, Coutts stated, “BTC with 2.5x the volatility of the S&P 500 experienced a drawdown of 28% vs. the S&P 500’s 19%. That is a massive OUTPERFORMANCE.”
