The only two times BTC\u2019s price <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Crypto_Potato\/status\/1884187160900952111\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">underperformed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> during that month were in 2014 and 2020. On the contrary, 8 of the last 12 Februaries saw the asset pumping by double digits. Many industry participants drew comparisons with previous Februaries, suggesting that history could repeat itself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Moreover, this one is a post-halving February \u2013 all previous ones have resulted in substantial gains.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Next on the list is BTC\u2019s Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV), which has been <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptoquant.com\/asset\/btc\/chart\/market-indicator\/mvrv-ratio?window=DAY&amp;sma=0&amp;ema=0&amp;priceScale=log&amp;metricScale=log&amp;chartStyle=line\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">hovering<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> below the healthy level of 2.5 over the past week. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Such a ratio <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">typically<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> indicates that the asset is moving toward undervalued territory, which could <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">be interpreted<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> as a buying opportunity.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Third, we will touch upon Bitcoin\u2019s exchange <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">netflow<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. According to CryptoQuant\u2019s data, outflows have predominantly <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptoquant.com\/asset\/btc\/chart\/exchange-flows\/exchange-netflow-total?exchange=all_exchange&amp;window=DAY&amp;sma=0&amp;ema=0&amp;priceScale=log&amp;metricScale=linear&amp;chartStyle=column\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">surpassed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> inflows in the last seven days, suggesting a shift from centralized platforms toward private wallets. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> could be viewed as a bullish sign since it reduces the immediate selling pressure.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bonus: the FOMC Meeting<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">One important event that may trigger additional volatility for BTC is the upcoming Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.federalreserve.gov\/monetarypolicy\/fomccalendars.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">scheduled<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> for January 28-29. The experts will decide whether to change the interest rates <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in the US, which are currently<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0set at 4.25%<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> \u2013 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">4.50%.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Lowering the benchmark would make money borrowing cheaper and could increase the interest in risk-on assets like BTC. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> could drive a new wave of investors into the ecosystem and create upward pressure on the price.
