The new model could enable 24\/7 trading and instant settlement, thereby increasing\u00a0liquidity and reducing transaction costs, Reuters reported on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>SEC Chair <strong>Paul Atkins<\/strong> is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/crypto\/cryptocurrency\/26\/05\/52654741\/paul-atkins-first-hinted-at-innovation-exemption-months-ago-now-the-sec-is-using-it-to-roll-out-a-framework-for-tokenized-stocks-report\">expected to introduce <\/a>an \u201cinnovation exemption\u201d in the coming weeks that would allow companies to venture into\u00a0new digital asset business models\u00a0without strictly adhering to all of the SEC\u2019s disclosure and investor-protection rules, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>The exemption could allow companies to offer tokenized versions of U.S. stocks, potentially reshaping equity markets over time.
