The move aims to provide users with \u201cadditional time and opportunity to secure their Pi.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The previous deadline for completing the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">aforementioned procedures<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> (known as the Grace Period) was moved several times and was eventually set for today (January 31).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In addition to the constant delays, Pi Network has yet to launch its native token and open mainnet (despite being around for almost six years), which has triggered frustration across the community, and some members have even described the project as a scam.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Meanwhile, the developers explained that the latest extension operates independently of the Open Network launch timeline.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cIt is possible that Open Network could occur before or after the Grace Period ends and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">upholds<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the Grace Period\u2019s core objectives of fairness and accessibility. Submit your KYC application and complete your Mainnet Checklist <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">by February 28, 2025<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, to avoid any forfeiture,\u201d the announcement reads.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pi Network has previously <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/massive-announcement-from-pi-network-pi-details\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">indicated<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that the Open Network will <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">see the light of day in Q1<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a02025. Somewhat expectedly, though, many people have <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">their doubts that this will be the case<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, expecting further delays instead of actual progress.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Popularity is on the Rise<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Contrary to the surrounding uncertainty, Pi Network continues to attract new members to its ecosystem.
