Speaking <\/a>to CNBC, Sacks further expressed optimism about the timeline, stating that legislation could potentially be passed through Congress within the next six months.<\/p>\n

Bipartisan Efforts To Advance Stablecoin Bill<\/h2>\n

As Sacks collaborates with lawmakers, one of the primary focuses will be on stablecoins\u2014cryptocurrencies whose value is pegged to real-world assets, such as the US dollar.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In an interview on CNBC\u2019s \u201cClosing Bell Over Time,\u201d Sacks emphasized the urgency of creating a clear regulatory framework to support the burgeoning digital assets <\/a>ecosystem. \u201cMoving legislation through Congress takes time, but I think this is something we could do in the next six months,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Proponents, including Sacks, argue that facilitating US-based stablecoin issuance could spur trillions of dollars in demand for the dollar while potentially lowering long-term interest rates.<\/p>\n

Sacks also highlighted an agenda item for his new task force: evaluating the feasibility of a Bitcoin reserve\u2014an idea previously suggested by President Trump during his campaign.
