After nearly three years of uncertainty, FTX, once a dominant player in the cryptocurrency exchange arena, is set to initiate the repayment <\/a>process for its Bahamas-based creditors on February 18.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This long-awaited move comes in the wake of the exchange\u2019s filing for bankruptcy in November 2022, following a severe liquidity crisis that led to its swift downfall.<\/p>\n

FTX To Initiate Repayment For Creditors Under $50,000<\/h2>\n

The repayment will start with creditors <\/a>who have claims under $50,000. These eligible creditors will receive 100% of their claim value, along with an additional 9% interest, calculated from the reference date of November 11, 2022, to the distribution date.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The payments will be processed by BitGo, a digital asset custody provider that has been integral to FTX\u2019s restructuring efforts.<\/p>\n
