Bitcoin (BTC) briefly dipped below $95,000, while Ethereum (ETH) and many well-known altcoins <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">continue to<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> record substantial losses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Another reason could be <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the fading interest from investors<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Two <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">evident<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> examples are MOTHER (linked to pop star Iggy Azalea) and DADDY (related to the controversial media personality Andrew Tate).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The former <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">saw the light of day<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> in May last year, and its market cap soared above $130 million mere weeks later. Currently, though, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> capitalization stands at less than $8 million.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is important to note that the launch of MOTHER caused some people to raise eyebrows and question its use cases. At one point, the influencer <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/this-controversial-meme-coin-jumps-by-35-following-an-urgent-announcement-from-andrew-tate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">urged<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> traders to accumulate as many assets as they could in <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a period of<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> 72 hours, claiming he had prepared a \u201cgrand plan.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Contrary to his promise, DADDY gradually <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">headed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> south in the following months, and its current market capitalization is <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">hovering at<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> just $20 million.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">TRUMP and MELANIA should also <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">be placed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on the list. The assets, linked to US President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, experienced an impressive rally around the Republican\u2019s inauguration last month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">TRUMP\u2019s market cap briefly <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/trump-overtakes-shib-in-meme-coin-battle-btc-nears-105k-weekend-watch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">skyrocketed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> above $14.5 billion, thus becoming the second-biggest meme coin, while MELANIA\u2019s capitalization <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/melania-token-hit-13-after-gaining-support-from-major-crypto-exchanges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">exceeded<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> $2 billion. However, their bull run was short-lived, and both tokens are currently far away from their peak levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">These steep declines emphasize the unpredictable nature of celebrity-backed meme coins.
