Shiba Inu is on the cusp of a significant transformation. Lucie (@LucieSHIB), the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, announced<\/a> via X on October 17 that the Shiba Inu Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) and the Shib Doggy DAO Foundation are \u201ccoming soon,\u201d signaling a pivotal shift toward decentralization and community governance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe time is almost here. As we approach the 2024\/2025 launch, the Shib ecosystem is on the verge of a transformative shift that will put power into the hands of real holders,\u201d Lucie stated. She emphasized that the upcoming DAO and Foundation are designed to exclude \u201ctrolls\u201d and \u201cFUD-spreaders\u201d who do not hold tokens but may attempt to influence the project\u2019s direction negatively.<\/p>\n

Why A Shiba Inu DAO And Foundation?<\/h2>\n

The Shib Doggy DAO Foundation aims to legally encapsulate the DAO, ensuring that community decisions are properly executed. \u201cThe SHIB Doggy DAO Foundation will legally wrap around the DAO, ensuring that the decisions made by the community are properly executed,\u201d Lucie explained. \u201cIt will manage assets like the Doggy Treasury and prevent any future misallocations, providing transparency and security.\u201d<\/p>\n

This move is intended to demonstrate that Shiba Inu is \u201ca serious player with a long-term vision,\u201d distancing itself from projects that lack sustainable planning and community involvement. The DAO will empower holders of four key tokens\u2014SHIB, BONE<\/a>, LEASH, and the forthcoming TREAT\u2014to participate in governance decisions.<\/p>\n

The governance model will be divided into four distinct areas: SHIB governs the community itself, BONE powers Shiba Inu\u2019s technology, LEASH offers protection and exclusivity, and TREAT empowers<\/a> and funds community projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cA DAO is a governance system where holders of key tokens\u2014Shib, Bone, Leash, and Treat\u2014have the power to make crucial decisions,\u201d Lucie noted. \u201cThis decentralized model ensures that the future of Shib is determined by those who believe in it, not by outside voices or short-term hype.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lucie stressed that only genuine token holders would influence the project\u2019s future. \u201cWhat\u2019s most important is that real holders will be the ones making the decisions that shape Shib\u2019s future,\u201d she said. \u201cThe trolls, FUD-spreaders, and naysayers in Telegram groups won\u2019t have any influence because they don\u2019t hold the keys to the ecosystem.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also issued a warning about fake versions <\/a>of the TREAT token, which has not yet been released. \u201cAs I mentioned Treat above, remember it hasn\u2019t been released yet,\u201d Lucie cautioned. \u201cSo, if you hold any knock-offs, you won\u2019t be able to participate in the DAO or any ecosystem dApps with them.
