Faced with a need for more capital, OpenAI\u2019s leadership is eyeing a structural pivot<\/a> to obtain funding from Softbank Japan, which currently values the company at a staggering $260 billion.<\/p>\n

While nonprofit-to-for-profit flips have precedent, the magnitude of OpenAI\u2019s operations sets it apart. However, the plan was upended when Elon Musk stepped in with a $97.4 billion offer, complicating negotiations and leaving the direction of OpenAI hanging in the balance.<\/p>\n

Anyway! Millions of users use ChatGPT every day, and its technology so indisputably exists that Elon Musk is willing to go even further into debt by lowballing the company\u2019s value to $100 billion.<\/p>\n

Some might say it\u2019s not a lowball offer because it is higher than OpenAI\u2019s internal valuation. Either way, Elon\u2019s hostile bid is screwing Sam Altman over.<\/p>\n

Elon Musk Aside, XRP Has Already Won (behind the scenes)<\/h2>\n

The SEC<\/a> has acknowledged a groundbreaking XRP ETF application from NYSE and Grayscale, setting a 240-day deadline for a verdict. This filing represents the first instance of the SEC formally acting on an XRP ETF proposal, signaling a potential shift in the agency\u2019s approach to crypto-related ETFs.<\/p>\n

Amid XRP\u2019s high-profile legal battle<\/a> with the SEC, the timing raises questions about how this decision could ripple \u2013 ha! Ripple, get it? \u2013 through the ETF market and reshape the regulatory landscape for crypto assets.<\/p>\n
