{"id":13466,"date":"2025-02-17T11:46:44","date_gmt":"2025-02-17T11:46:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=13466"},"modified":"2025-02-17T11:46:44","modified_gmt":"2025-02-17T11:46:44","slug":"u-s-listed-bitcoin-miners-are-growing-their-share-of-the-network-hashrate-bernstein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=13466","title":{"rendered":"U.S.-Listed Bitcoin Miners Are Growing Their Share of the Network Hashrate: Bernstein"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Bitcoin (BTC) miners listed in the U.S. are growing their share of the network hashrate, broker Bernstein said in a report Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/opinion\/2024\/08\/14\/the-coming-financialization-of-hashrate-markets\" target=\"_blank\">hashrate<\/a> refers to the total combined computational power used to mine and process transactions on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/learn\/what-is-proof-of-work\" target=\"_blank\">proof-of-work<\/a> blockchain and is a proxy for competition in the industry and mining difficulty.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;U.S. listed bitcoin miners are increasing their share of the network hashrate, leveraging access to capital, land and power,&#8221; analysts led by Gautam Chhugani wrote.<\/p>\n<p>These companies grew their share of the Bitcoin network to around 29% in January, from about 20% a year ago, the report said, adding that large miners aggressively expanded their hashrates in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>IREN (IREN) is growing its hashrate the fastest, followed by CleanSpark (CLSK), Riot Platforms (RIOT), and MARA Holdings (MARA), Bernstein said.<\/p>\n<p>Bernstein has an outperform rating on IREN (PT $26), CleanSpark (PT $30) and Riot Platforms (PT $22).
