He based his prediction on certain factors, including the mutual agreement between the Commission and Binance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Earlier this month, the two parties <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/binance-and-sec-agree-to-60-day-pause-in-legal-proceedings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">requested<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the magistrates to pause their lawsuit for 60 days. After that, both plan to submit a joint status report to assess whether an <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">extension of the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> stay is warranted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI expect we\u2019ll see other non-fraud cases (<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">i.e.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Ripple, Coinbase, Kraken, and others) follow suit in this manner,\u201d Eleanor Terrett (a journalist at Fox Business) <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EleanorTerrett\/status\/1889175581423796304\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">weighed in<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> at the time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Stark claimed that some of the changes at the SEC\u2019s management team also suggest that the appeal against Ripple could be paused or fully withdrawn. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Recall that the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> regulator recently <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/important-ripple-v-sec-lawsuit-update-february-6\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">transferred<\/a> one of its top crypto litigators, Jorge Tenreiro, to its computer systems department.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The law expert joined the agency <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">more than<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> a decade ago, gradually climbing the ladder to become Chief Litigation Counsel in 2024. Tenreiro\u00a0signed the SEC\u2019s notice of appeal in its case against Ripple.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cYet, this SEC trial lawyer, who championed the victories of Coinbase and Binance, is now glaringly absent from both the Coinbase and Binance pleadings, ordered to pack his pencils and legal pads and transfer to the SEC\u2019s IT department,\u201d Stark stated.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">When to Expect a Settlement?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Stark is not the only person speculating on the future developments of the Ripple v. SEC case. Last week, the popular American lawyer Jeremy Hogan <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ripple-v-sec-settlement-expected-before-xrp-etf-approval-says-expert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">suggested<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">final<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> outcome of the lawsuit is more likely to come before the potential approval of a spot XRP ETF in the US.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cNot because it has to happen in that order, but because the ETFs will just take longer to dot the i\u2019s and cross the t\u2019s,\u201d he opined.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Some <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">of the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> companies that have revealed their plans to introduce such an investment vehicle include <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/grayscale-files-for-ripple-xrp-etf-listing-on-nyse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Grayscale<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, WisdomTree, Bitwise, 21Shares, and more. <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/ripple-etf-approved-in-2025?tid=1739880698288\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to Polymarket, the odds of approval from the SEC before the end of 2025 are 78%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The post <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/is-a-pause-in-the-ripple-v-sec-lawsuit-imminent\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">Is a Pause in the Ripple v.
