An official announcement is<a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/analyst-ratings\/analyst-color\/25\/02\/43807804\/us-stocks-likely-to-open-lower-following-fresh-records-from-previous-session-expert-says-dont-be-scared-of-new-highs\"> expected as soon as April 2.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Markets are anticipating the release of the most recent FOMC minutes later in the trading day which will give further insight into the Federal Reserve&#8217;s policy outlook. The Fed held interest rates steady at its last meeting and has signaled it is in no hurry to lower rates.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Natural gas futures were up 5%, closing in on a two-year high, as extreme <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/general\/travel\/25\/02\/43814828\/life-threatening-cold-air-snow-brings-travel-delays-higher-heating-costs\">cold temperatures<\/a> across the U.S. drove higher heating demand and froze oil and gas wells, disrupting production. Adding to the pressure on prices are record-level gas flows to LNG export plants.
