It is important to note that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) officially <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ripple-xrp-etf-edges-closer-to-reality-with-new-milestone\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">acknowledged<\/a> their applications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Most recently,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Grayscale\u2019s filing was <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2025\/02\/20\/2025-02823\/self-regulatory-organizations-nyse-arca-inc-notice-of-filing-of-proposed-rule-change-as-modified-by\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">posted<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to the Federal Register. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This means that the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> SEC has until October 18 to approve or reject the move.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The latest development caused <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">huge<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> enthusiasm across the XRP community, with many members believing the launch of the investment vehicle is now just a matter of time. Meanwhile, the odds for this to happen by July 31 remain around 45%.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Brazil Was First<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">And while on<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> eyes are on the US SEC, Brazil\u2019s securities regulator<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> \u2013 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the Comiss\u00e3o de Valores Mobili\u00e1rios<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> \u2013 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">recently<\/span> <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/brazil-leads-latin-america-with-historic-approval-of-xrp-etf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">approved\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the world\u2019s first spot XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF).<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> pushed the underlying asset\u2019s price to almost $2.75 before retracing at the current $2.67 (per CoinGecko\u2019s data).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">However, the potential launch of such a product in America would likely have a <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">bigger<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> impact than the green light in Brazil or any other country.
