This year\u2019s Global Data Ecosystem Conference, held in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, has ended positively. The two-day tech conference was extra special because it focused on popular blockchain technology, related applications, and other emerging innovations.<\/p>\n

Over 30 events were held during the conference<\/a>, covering various topics, including blockchain technology, international data cooperation, data and its value to industries, and an initiative to connect data service providers. Shanghai was the perfect host for the global conference, which organizers expect can lead to exploring new data and blockchain technologies.<\/p>\n

Global Data Ecosystem Conference Highlights The Digital Economy<\/h2>\n

This year\u2019s Global Data Ecosystem Conference is the fourth in the series organized by Yicai. The Shanghai Data Service Provider Association and the Shanghai Data Group co-hosted the conference, with additional help from the Shanghai Data Bureau and the Pudong district.<\/p>\n

The conference highlighted the developments in the digital economy<\/a> and served as a platform for data providers to connect and build relationships. To foster collaboration in data and digital economy space, the National Data Group Alliance was also launched. It\u2019s the first \u2018rights organization\u2019 for data companies in China that aims to create a community and promote growth in the industry.<\/p>\n

Data And Blockchain Tech Companies To Strengthen International Cooperation<\/h2>\n

In addition to data and blockchain<\/a> topics, the conference highlights the growing partnership among data and technology organizations. Participants, including the International Data Spaces Association, the Hong Kong Chamber of Data and Digital Commerce, and SG Tech, formed a year-round collaboration and exchange mechanism. The collaboration among these organizations aims to support local merchants while helping them to grow internationally.<\/p>\n

During the discussions, the participants agreed that Shanghai could continue supporting public data sharing and openness, building data centers, and promoting an excellent digital business environment.<\/p>\n

In the future, Shanghai will further promote the sharing and openness of public data, innovate the development and utilization of public data, build an excellent digital business ecological environment, and promote the building of international data centers. Last year, the city\u2019s digital economy exceeded CNY600 billion (USD 84.5 billion).<\/p>\n

Shanghai As The Perfect Host To Explore Advanced Technologies<\/p>\n

Pudong New Area in Shanghai is the perfect hub for initiatives to promote new tech and innovation, such as blockchain. According to Shen Zhulin, the National Data Administration deputy head, Shanghai can pioneer the latest tech space. Shen adds that it\u2019s one of the top regions selected to initiate tests to reduce transaction costs and data circulation while promoting a compliant, secure, and orderly data flow.<\/p>\n
