The company said only on Sunday it had <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/0xinfini\/status\/1893660948340293715\" target=\"_blank\">hit $50 million in total value locked<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The exploit came just days after Bybit, the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, saw a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/02\/21\/bybit-experiences-usd1-46b-in-suspicious-outflows-zachxbt?utm_source=flipboard&amp;utm_content=other\" target=\"_blank\">hacker drain its ether cold wallet<\/a> and make off with nearly $1.5 billion in crypto&#8217;s largest exploit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are closely monitoring the address involved and are prepared to take immediate action to freeze any stolen funds if necessary,&#8221; Infini <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/0xinfini\/status\/1894030200490315887\/photo\/1\" target=\"_blank\">told the hacker<\/a> in a blockchain transaction. &#8220;In an effort to resolve this matter amicably, we are willing to offer you 20% of the stolen assets should you choose to return the funds.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Infini gave the perpetrator 48 hours to \u201cfacilitate a swift resolution,\u201d and that failure to respond means it will \u201chave no choice\u201d but to continue its investigation in collaboration with law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CyversAlerts\/status\/1893903649916555556\" target=\"_blank\">According to Cyvers<\/a>, the exploit occurred after a developer who helped set up its <a href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/address\/0x9a79f4105a4e1a050ba0b42f25351d394fa7e1dc#tokentxns\" target=\"_blank\">smart contract<\/a> kept admin rights over it.
