Since May 2024, the company has made 17 separate Bitcoin acquisitions.<\/p>\n<p>The company has allocated the funds generated through their latest issuance to Evo Fund, which is Metaplanet\u2019s dedicated fund towards Bitcoin issuance. This in itself allows Metaplanet to optimize its capital structure since the company does not incur additional interest and liabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Their most significant <a href=\"https:\/\/99bitcoins.com\/news\/metaplanet-targets-10000-bitcoin-in-2025-amid-bull-run-predictions-of-over-200k\/\">acquisition<\/a> was on 20 December 2024, when the company purchased 619.7 BTC. Now, with the latest bond-funded acquisition, Metaplanet\u2019s total Bitcoin reserves have reached a total of 2235 BTC. At current market prices, their reserve is valued at $192.4 million.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts have compared Metaplanet\u2019s aggressive Bitcoin acquisition strategy to the US-based, recently <a href=\"https:\/\/99bitcoins.com\/news\/microstrategy-rebrands-to-strategy-to-highlight-bitcoin-focus-posts-670m-q4-loss\/\">rebranded<\/a> Strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Strategy pioneered the concept of holding substantial Bitcoin reserves as a treasury asset.<\/p>\n<p>Metaplanet has set an ambitious plan for further increasing its Bitcoin reserves.
