CEO Brad Garlinghouse listed them in a thread on Tuesday night, after opening the conference with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Robinhood:<\/strong> RLUSD is live on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood and is due in the Robinhood app later this year. Ripple Prime gives Bitstamp lending and margin financing across about 20 assets, and Robinhood will run its treasury on Ripple Treasury.<\/li>\n<li><strong>BNY:<\/strong> the bank now holds XRP and RLUSD for institutional clients on its Digital Asset Custody platform, on top of guarding RLUSD\u2019s reserves. It means Moody\u2019s sees low credit risk in holding RLUSD. A2 is investment grade, five notches below the top Aaa, and P-1 is Moody\u2019s highest short-term grade. The rating covers RLUSD issued by Standard Custody &amp; Trust, Ripple\u2019s New York-regulated subsidiary, on both the XRP Ledger and Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>Jack McDonald, Ripple\u2019s SVP of stablecoins, <a class=\"general-link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/_JackMcDonald_\/status\/2115249719723074014\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">called RLUSD<\/a> \u201cthe first stablecoin to have ever received an investment-grade Moody\u2019s rating.\u201d The reserves behind it are cash and short-dated U.S. Treasuries, mostly held at BNY.<\/p>\n<p>A rating isn\u2019t insurance, though: RLUSD is still not a bank deposit, and Moody\u2019s hasn\u2019t published its full reasoning.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"xrp-news-on-chain-how-much-rlusd-sits-on-the-xrp-ledger\">XRP News On-Chain: How Much RLUSD Sits on the XRP Ledger?<\/h2>\n<p>Less than you might expect. A check of both blockchains on October 28 found 981.99 million RLUSD on the XRP Ledger and 1.598 billion on Ethereum, $2.58 billion in total. That is why Robinhood\u2019s choice matters for XRP holders: settlement on the XRP Ledger burns XRP in fees and needs XRP for reserves, while settlement on Ethereum doesn\u2019t touch it.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple\u2019s own XRP is still parked. XRP trades at $1.3304 on Binance after gaining 1.7% on Tuesday, the day of the Robinhood XRP news, but it is still under its 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) at $1.3602 and its 200-day EMA at $1.3708.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The ceiling:<\/strong> $1.3602 to $1.3708, the two EMAs.
