Today, I’m pulling an old Octominer R8 out of retirement and loading it with used and refurbished GPUs—but this build has a few surprises waiting for me. From unexpected hardware discoveries to a rig that doesn’t want to cooperate, getting back into GPU mining isn’t quite as simple as plugging everything in. Along the way, I share why I’m buying graphics cards again and what has me reconsidering their place alongside my ASIC miners. Stick around as we fire up Pearl mining, experiment with overclocks, and see what these cards can actually do!
—
⚡Looking for Air Cooled or Hydro ASIC Hosting for your Miners?
