Four years ago, Salinas said he was working to make <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2021\/06\/27\/billionaire-salinas-says-hes-working-for-his-bank-to-be-first-in-mexico-to-take-bitcoin\" target=\"_blank\">his bank the first in Mexico to accept bitcoin.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve got about 70% in Bitcoin-related exposure and 30% in gold and gold miners,\u201d Salinas said during an<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-03-04\/microsoft-s-fading-ai-mojo-keeps-shares-in-lengthy-purgatory?sref=3REHEaVI\" target=\"_blank\"> interview with Bloomberg<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t have a single bond and I don\u2019t have any other stocks except my own.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 70% figure is notably far above the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-11-18\/billionaire-salinas-has-10-of-liquid-portfolio-in-bitcoin?sref=3REHEaVI\" target=\"_blank\">10% the billionaire revealed<\/a> he had allocated to the cryptocurrency back in 2020.
