Much of this is due to the impact Trump\u2019s trade tariffs have had on crypto markets.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to ETH, WBTC, and USDT, World Liberty also holds 40 million <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/justin-sun-raises-stake-in-world-liberty-financial-to-75m\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Tron<\/a> (TRX) tokens worth $10 million, 10 billion WhiteRock (WHITE) worth $3.4 million, and a handful of more obscure tokens such as ONDO, COLLE, GROK, and HOPPY.<\/p>\n<p>Ethereum remains the industry standard for DeFi, with a 52.6% market share of total value locked, <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/chain\/Ethereum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">according<\/a> to DeFiLlama.\u00a0It has lost some ground to Solana recently, which has seen its DeFi market share increase to 8.4% with a TVL of $9 billion.<\/p>\n<p>However, Solana took a massive hit recently as the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/solana-price-craters-40-from-january-high-as-meme-coin-bubble-bursts\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">meme coin bubble burst<\/a> because the network was primarily used to mint and trade the tokens.<\/p>\n<h2>ETH Price Reaction<\/h2>\n<p>ETH has woken up over the past 12 hours, gaining just over 6% to reclaim $2,300 during Asian trading on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the asset fell to a <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ethereum-tanks-to-16-month-low-as-analysts-predict-plunge-to-1200\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">16-month low<\/a> of just over $2,000 earlier this week when analysts warned of a huge collapse in ETH prices if the head and shoulders chart pattern breaks down.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, ETH appears to have bounced off support and is edging higher though it remains down 16% over the past fortnight.<\/p>\n<p>The post <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/eth-holdings-of-trump-backed-defi-project-world-liberty-finance-soar\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">ETH Holdings of Trump-Backed DeFi Project World Liberty Finance Soar<\/a> appeared first on <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">CryptoPotato<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>World Liberty Finance has more than doubled its ETH holdings in a week, according to Arkham Intelligence data.\u00a0The analytics platform reports that the project\u2019s ETH holdings have surged 180% over the past couple of days, from around 2,200 ETH on Monday to more than 7,000 by Thursday.
