As usual, the extension sparked mixed reactions across the community, with some members appreciating the additional time while others were frustrated and described the project as a scam.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Most recently, Pi Network\u2019s team <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PiCoreTeam\/status\/1898892836772491507\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">advised<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> users to pass the procedures before that date \u201cto avoid forfeiting most of your Pi other than Pi mined within the rolling window of the last 6 months before your Pi <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is migrated<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The developers further warned that this is the last chance for any Pioneer to complete the required steps to avoid losing their past mobile balances.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Recently, the team <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/minepi.com\/blog\/grace-period-extension-mar-14\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">assured<\/span><\/a> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">that<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> this would be the last deadline extension. However, some community members find this hard to believe, given Pi Network\u2019s habit of prolonging such development for years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Additional Advice<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Besides giving more time to users, the team behind the project<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> also issued some key updates to improve the KYC process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Last month, it <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/pi-network-introduces-2-key-updates-to-improve-kyc-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">said<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> people whose Pi account name and KYC name do not match would usually have their applications rejected due to their failure to prove their ownership. To fix the problem, users should resubmit their applications with corrected details or update their Pi account name with a penalty of forfeiting part of their Mobile Balance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cEligible Pioneers include those whose KYC applications\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">were rejected<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> due to name mismatches.
