{"id":17012,"date":"2025-03-10T13:17:01","date_gmt":"2025-03-10T13:17:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=17012"},"modified":"2025-03-10T13:17:01","modified_gmt":"2025-03-10T13:17:01","slug":"rex-shares-and-osprey-funds-file-for-move-etf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=17012","title":{"rendered":"Rex Shares and Osprey Funds File for MOVE ETF"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Investment managers Rex Shares and Osprey Funds have filed to list an exchange-traded fund (ETF) tracking the price performance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2024\/12\/09\/movement-networks-move-will-be-listed-on-binance-upbit-and-bithumb-amid-airdrop\" target=\"_blank\">Movement<\/a> Networks&#8217; MOVE.<\/p>\n<p>The Ethereum layer-2 network&#8217;s mainnet, which is built using MoveVM, is expected to launch on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed REX-Osprey\u00a0MOVE ETF would invest at least 80% of its assets in MOVE or related instruments, using a mix of direct holdings and derivatives, according to a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sec.gov\/Archives\/edgar\/data\/1771146\/000199937125002521\/rexosprey-485apos_031025.htm#ospreymove485aposa001\" target=\"_blank\">filing<\/a> with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).<\/p>\n<p>Rex Shares, an ETF issuer, has in the past <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/01\/21\/investment-management-firm-wants-to-bring-trump-coin-to-institutions-with-a-new-etf\" target=\"_blank\">filed to launch funds<\/a> with crypto asset manager Osprey Funds, including offerings with exposure to memecoins like TRUMP, BONK, and DOGE.<\/p>\n<p>The filings came after Donald Trump\u2019s second administration started earlier this year, with the new President appointing SEC commissioner Mark Uyeda as acting SEC Chair. The regulator has since dropped a number of lawsuits and investigations into cryptocurrency firms, and has been showing a rather pro-crypto stance.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear whether the REX-Osprey\u00a0MOVE ETF, or any other ETF filed by the investment managers offering cryptocurrency exposure, will be approved by the regulator.<\/p>\n<p>MOVE is up 5% in the last 24-hours, nearing 50 cents.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Investment managers Rex Shares and Osprey Funds have filed to list an exchange-traded fund (ETF) tracking the price performance of Movement Networks&#8217; MOVE.
