Options exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/02\/20\/crypto-exchange-deribit-still-in-talks-to-be-acquired-by-kraken-source\" target=\"_blank\">Derebit<\/a> is in talks to be acquired, with a number of potential suitors vying for the company, as reported by CoinDesk last month. Crypto trading platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/02\/20\/crypto-exchange-deribit-still-in-talks-to-be-acquired-by-kraken-source\" target=\"_blank\">BitMEX<\/a> is also looking for a buyer. <\/p>\n<p>Stripe agreed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/02\/20\/crypto-exchange-deribit-still-in-talks-to-be-acquired-by-kraken-source\" target=\"_blank\">buy<\/a> stablecoin platform Bridge for $1.1 billion in October last year, in the largest crypto acquisition by a major payments company to date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis acquisition is a strategic step forward, positioning MoonPay at the forefront of enterprise-grade stablecoin solutions,\u201d said Ivan Soto-Wright, CEO of MoonPay, in the release.<\/p>\n<p>Moonpay bought Helio, a Solana-powered crypto payment processor, in January.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/03\/13\/%E2%80%9CThis%20acquisition%20is%20a%20strategic%20step%20forward,%20positioning%20MoonPay%20at%20the%20forefront%20of%20enterprise-grade%20stablecoin%20solutions,%E2%80%9D%20said%20Ivan%20Soto-Wright,%20CEO%20of%20MoonPay.\" target=\"_blank\">Read more: MoonPay Buys Crypto Payment Processor Helio for $175M<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cryptocurrency app MoonPay, has acquired Iron, an API-focused stablecoin infrastructure platform, the company said in a press release Thursday.
