{"id":18652,"date":"2025-03-23T14:01:32","date_gmt":"2025-03-23T14:01:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=18652"},"modified":"2025-03-23T14:01:32","modified_gmt":"2025-03-23T14:01:32","slug":"bitcoin-stack-grows-hong-kong-firm-now-holds-19-btc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=18652","title":{"rendered":"Bitcoin Stack Grows: Hong Kong Firm Now Holds 19 BTC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>A Hong Kong-based investment holding company has joined many firms that are incorporating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/bitcoin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Bitcoin<\/a> in their balance sheets, turning part of the company\u2019s treasury into cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>HK Asia Holdings announced that it expanded its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlanticcouncil.org\/blogs\/econographics\/what-exactly-is-a-strategic-bitcoin-reserve\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Bitcoin reserve<\/a> after its newly formed board approved the acquisition.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Buying More Bitcoins<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In an X post, HK Asia Holdings revealed that it acquired an additional 10 Bitcoins worth around $858,581, raising its total BTC holding to 18.88 coins. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n\u201cThe Board is pleased to announce this week\u2019s purchase of 10 BTC, furthering the company\u2019s asset allocation strategy,\u201d the holdings company said.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Group said in the discloseable transaction it has already \u201cacquired a total of approximately 18.88 units of Bitcoin for an aggregate consideration of approximately $1,720,157.41.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Dp4J6tzliw\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/t.co\/Dp4J6tzliw<\/a> now holds 18.88 BTC. It can be recalled that after its initial Bitcoin acquisition, the company\u2019s stock price almost doubled, while the firm\u2019s shares soared by 5.7% on February 24.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Asset Allocation Strategy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Bitcoin acquisition is the third cryptocurrency investment of HK Asia Holdings in over a month. The company explained that the crypto acquisitions are part of the \u201cGroup\u2019s asset allocation strategy\u201d wherein the company allocates a portion of its treasury in cryptocurrencies which can serve as a form of diversification to holding cash in treasury management.<\/p>\n<p>HK Asia Holdings\u2019 board saw an opportunity in the increasing popularity of cryptocurrencies in the commercial world, with companies tapping cryptocurrencies to become part of their investment portfolios, like Bitcoin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Board believes that there is still room for cryptocurrencies in general, including that for Bitcoin as a dependable store of value which is one of the longest standing and the largest cryptocurrencies in terms of market capitalization, to appreciate in value,\u201d the firm said.<\/p>\n<p>The Group remarked that the Board observed that cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile, hence the Board decided to invest in Bitcoin because it is the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
