However, some newcomers have little-to-no experience with the crypto world, making them perfect prey for fraudsters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Earlier today (March 26), the team behind Shibarium Trustwatch <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/susbarium\/status\/1904847776438968368\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">warned<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> people that scammers have created fake profiles on X to deceive with \u201cpromises of giveaways, exclusive content, or investment opportunities.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The team revealed that LUCIE \u2013 the pseudonymous marketing strategist of Shibarium \u2013 is among the targets, with wrongdoers mimicking their X account. However, a quick look shows that the number of followers is 0, meaning people should have serious doubts. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In comparison,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> LUCIE\u2019s official account on X has more than 165,000 subscribers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Shibarium Trustwatch advised the SHIB Army to check for verification badges and trusted announcements to protect themselves. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It also urged people never to click on suspicious links or share personal details online and to report and block fraudulent accounts <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">immediately<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to safeguard the entire community.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Previous Alerts<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The team issued a similar warning nearly a month ago. Back then, Shibarium Trustwatch <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/watch-out-shiba-inu-shib-team-issues-a-major-warning-to-the-community\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">cautioned<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> users to stay away from a fake X account pretending to be the official one of the meme coin project.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThis account is NOT official. Stay vigilant,\u201d the message reads.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Towards the end of last year, the team <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/major-warning-by-the-shiba-inu-shib-team-about-another-dangerous-scam-details\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">claimed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that\u00a0malicious actors had misused the name of Shytoshi Kusama \u2013 the former lead developer behind Shiba Inu \u2013 to advertise fake tokens in fraudulent online groups.
