Here&#8217;s what GameStop&#8217;s decision could mean, and a look back at Cramer&#8217;s original pitch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Happened: <\/strong>Cramer is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/25\/03\/44487309\/jim-cramer-applauds-gamestop-for-acting-on-his-bitcoin-ploy-as-apex-crypto-barely-moves-after-his-remark\">taking a victory lap<\/a> on the heels of GameStop announcing it will add Bitcoin to its balance sheet plan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;GameStop is finally doing my Bitcoin ploy!&#8221; Cramer tweeted Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>GameStop has hinted at adding cryptocurrency investments before with the company changing its policy to allow CEO <strong>Ryan Cohen <\/strong>to invest the company&#8217;s cash in stocks and cryptocurrency back <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/analyst-ratings\/analyst-color\/23\/12\/36142175\/meme-king-ryan-cohen-now-able-to-trade-stocks-with-gamestop-funds\">in December 2023.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>An image of Cohen with Bitcoin investor <strong>Michael Saylor <\/strong>earlier this year prompted speculation that an investment could be coming.<\/p>\n<p>GameStop ended the fourth quarter with $4.8 billion in cash and cash equivalents. The company did not announce when it will begin buying Bitcoin or how much it will buy.
