Ripple secures additional <\/span>support<\/span><\/h2>\n

The firm\u2019s native cryptocurrency has become the subject of renewed support from various cryptocurrency exchanges ever since <\/span>Ripple\u2019s partial court win<\/span><\/a> against the US SEC in the summer of 2023. Some <\/span>of the<\/span> platforms re-listing XRP in the past few years include Coinbase, Kraken, Crypto.com, Gemini, and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this week, the well-known brokerage firm \u2013 Interactive Brokers \u2013 also <\/span>enabled<\/span><\/a> trading services with the asset.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to XRP, the company also embraced Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Cardano (ADA).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The lawsuit is over<\/span><\/h2>\n

As mentioned above, the legal tussle between Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reached a pivotal point in 2023. <\/span>In the following years,<\/span> the company secured additional court victories before finally triumphing earlier this month.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ripple\u2019s CEO Brad Garlinghouse <\/span>announced<\/span><\/a> in<\/span> mid-March that the SEC had dropped its appeal, describing the effort as the official end of the lawsuit. Some legal experts, though, reminded that the company <\/span>was previously slammed<\/span> with a $125 million fine, and the battle will not conclude until it settles the amount or appeals the ruling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this week, the chief legal officer, Stuart Alderoty,\u00a0said<\/a> the firm will withdraw its cross-appeal and pay a penalty of $50 million (instead of the previously ruled $125 million), potentially marking the case\u2019s final resolution.<\/span><\/p>\n

The $50 million is already in an interest-bearing account, while the remaining amount will be returned to Ripple, he said.<\/p>\n

ETF to follow next?<\/span><\/h2>\n

With the legal battle <\/span>seemingly<\/span> already in history, all eyes are now on the potential launch of a spot XRP ETF in the United States. The renowned companies that <\/span>have displayed their intentions<\/span> to introduce such a product include Grayscale, Bitwise, 21Shares, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Nate Geraci, a well-regarded ETF analyst, <\/span>believes<\/span><\/a> BlackRock and Fidelity may also join the race to become the first entity to introduce that type of investment vehicle in America.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Seems<\/span> obvious spot XRP ETF approval simply matter of time <\/span>IMO<\/span>.<\/span> And yes, I expect BlackRock, Fidelity, etc <\/span>to all be<\/span> involved,\u201d he recently said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to Polymarket, the odds of such a product to see the light of day before 2025 <\/span>stand<\/span><\/a> at around 85%.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ripple\u2019s integration\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

As <\/span>CryptoPotato<\/span><\/em> reported<\/span><\/a>, the company recently integrated the new <\/span>oracle<\/span> service platform \u2013 Lumina \u2013 into the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to enhance data transparency across DeFi, real-world assets (RWAs), and Web3 applications.<\/span><\/p>\n

Built on the Decentralized Information Asset framework, Lumina went live on March 26 and aims to replace traditional \u201cblack-box\u201d oracles with fully on-chain infrastructure. <\/span><\/p>\n

The platform\u2019s core engine is Lasernet, a layer-2 rollup built on Arbitrum and Ethereum, designed to deliver fully transparent and verifiable <\/span>oracle<\/span> data. Ripple sees this setup as essential for advancing the real-world assets (RWA) space, moving away from the systems used by oracles like Chainlink and Pyth.<\/span><\/p>\n

XRP price predictions<\/span><\/h2>\n

XRP recorded a solid (yet <\/span>quite<\/span> brief) price spike following Garlinghouse\u2019s disclosure. Since then, it experienced enhanced volatility and eventually plunged to the current $2.22.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Some market observers believe the asset could resume its bull run, but such progress would depend on certain factors. The popular X user Ali Martinez <\/span>thinks<\/span><\/a> XRP needs to surge past $3 to \u201cinvalidate the current head-and-shoulders pattern, potentially flipping the outlook bullish.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Dark Defender is among the biggest optimists. The analyst <\/span>suggested<\/span><\/a> that Ripple\u2019s cross-border token has formed \u201ca great bullish rectangle pattern,\u201d hovering between $1.90 and almost $3.40 in the last several months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe consolidation will be over very soon. The next leg will welcome new all-time highs,\u201d they forecasted.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
