Source: <\/em><a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CertiKAlert\/status\/1906677902642450630\" rel=\"null\" target=\"null\" text=\"null\" title=\"null\"><em>CertiK<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In a separate March 27 report, the blockchain security firm <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/www.certik.com\/resources\/blog\/magic-internet-money-mim-incident-analysis\" rel=\"null\" target=\"null\" text=\"null\" title=\"null\">said<\/a>, \u201cThe attacker was able to borrow funds, liquidate themselves, then borrow funds again without repaying them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was due to the liquidation process not overwriting records in RouterOrder that counted as collateral, allowing the exploiter to falsely borrow additional funds after liquidation,\u201d CertiK said.<\/p>\n<p><template data-ct-widget=\"buzzsprout\" data-buzzsprout-podcast-id=\"2096305\" data-buzzsprout-episode-id=\"16821617\"><\/template><\/p>\n<p>The protocols team has offered a 20% bounty, double the standard 10%, in exchange for the return of the funds, according to CertiK. So far, no public updates have been given on whether any funds have been returned.<\/p>\n<p>The second highest monthly loss was restaking protocol Zoth after its deployer wallet was compromised and the <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/zoth-exploit-admin-leak-causes-8m-losses\" rel=\"null\" target=\"null\" text=\"null\" title=\"null\">attacker withdrew over $8.4 million<\/a> in crypto assets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>March crypto losses reduced after hacker returned some funds\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Some of the stolen funds in March were returned. In total, CertiK says over $33 million was stolen for the month, but decentralized exchange aggregator 1inch <a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/1inch-loses-5m-hack-fusion-v1-smart-contract\" rel=\"null\" target=\"null\" text=\"null\" title=\"null\">successfully recovered most of the $5 million stolen<\/a> in a March 5 exploit after negotiating a bug bounty agreement with the attacker.<\/p>\n<p>The total figures, however,\u00a0<a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/coinbase-users-hit-by-46m-phishing-scams\" rel=\"null\" target=\"null\" text=\"null\" title=\"null\">exclude an unknown Coinbase user<\/a>\u00a0who crypto sleuth ZachXBT claims lost 400 Bitcoin (<a data-ct-non-breakable=\"null\" href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/bitcoin-price\" rel=\"null\" target=\"null\" text=\"null\" title=\"null\">BTC<\/a>), worth $34 million.
