Backpack describes this as &#8220;coming later&#8221; on its <a href=\"https:\/\/eu.support.backpack.exchange\/\" target=\"_blank\">FAQ page<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Backpack&#8217;s acquisition of FTX EU was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/01\/09\/ftx-bankruptcy-estate-hits-out-over-unauthorized-sale-of-ftx-eu-to-backpack-exchange\" target=\"_blank\">criticized by the bankruptcy estate of the broader entity of FTX<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The FTX estate said Backpack had no involvement in the U.S. bankruptcy court-approved process for returning funds and that it did not have authorization to make any distributions to customers.<\/p>\n<p>FTX has gathered $11.4 billion in cash to distribute to parties affected by its collapse in 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/03\/29\/ftx-to-begin-usd11-4b-creditor-payouts-in-may-after-years-long-bankruptcy-battle\" target=\"_blank\">with payments set to commence at the end of May<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Crypto trading firm Backpack, which bought the European arm of bankrupt exchange FTX, has begun the process for customers to claim their funds.
