However, Tether\u2019s US-exclusive stablecoin comes as a response to President Donald Trump\u2019s vocally favourable stance towards cryptocurrency regulation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe are the boots on the ground,\u201d Tether Chief Executive Paolo Ardoino told MarketWatch recently, \u201cbuilding the biggest distribution network, physical and digital, for the US dollar ever in the history of humanity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to a 7th April 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/1b3cccad-ad33-4dd9-b2b6-1514f80e39ad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">FT report,<\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ardoino said that if the new rules make US domestic stablecoins competitive, there could be an \u201cinterest from Tether to create a domestic stablecoin in the US, calling it \u201cbasically a settlement currency.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;We are the boots on the ground,&#8221;
