The surge back then was partially fueled by the frenzy surrounding some Trump-themed meme coins, which are based on Solana\u2019s blockchain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ironically, the POTUS, or more specifically, the trade war he declared to the rest of the world, appears to be the main factor behind the recent bloodbath in the crypto market and SOL\u2019s crash.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Several renowned analysts noted the asset\u2019s plunge, predicting further pain for the bulls in the short term. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ali Martinez <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ali_charts\/status\/1909178585942044848\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">believes<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> SOL\u2019s dive below $114 could be followed by a slump to as low as $60<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. This would represent<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> a roughly 40% decline from the current valuation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Another person, using the X moniker Crypto_Jobs, <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CryptoJobs3\/status\/1909175441400770973\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">assumed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that Solana could find a \u201ckey bottom level\u201d at approximately $68-$70.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">SOL\u2019s recent price decline coincides with a gradual decrease in the total value locked (TVL) in the ecosystem and its DEX volume. Those developments generally signal low user engagement, diminishing traders\u2019 confidence, and lower liquidity. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is important to note that Solana\u2019s TVL is measured in USD, meaning that if the price of the underlying token drops, the metric automatically goes down even if the same amount of SOL stays locked.
