Several days ago, popular journalist Eleanor Terrett <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ripple-xrp-news-april-4th\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">informed<\/span><\/a> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">about<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> \u201can odd\u201d filing in the Ripple v SEC docket. The court document, coming from <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a person called<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Justin W. Keener, represents \u201can emergency request\u201d to Judge Analisa Torres to \u201cpresent decisive evidence in favor of the defendants and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> favor of liberty for the American people.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The filing didn\u2019t specify how the evidence helps Ripple, but it hints at a link to physical investment contracts he has been gathering. Meanwhile, the SEC recently sued Keener for acting as an unregistered penny stock dealer, and the court ordered him to pay $10 million in penalties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Most recently, Terrett <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EleanorTerrett\/status\/1909660350674587707\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">revealed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that the Commission filed an opposition to that \u201cemergency request.\u201d <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The agency <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is against the motion due to<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> three main reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">First, it claimed that the District Court lacked jurisdiction over the request as the lawsuit had already moved to the Second Circuit. Second, it argued that Keener did not file a proper <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">motion to intervene<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.
