{"id":21467,"date":"2025-04-10T10:18:23","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T10:18:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=21467"},"modified":"2025-04-10T10:18:23","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T10:18:23","slug":"ether-whale-dumps-22m-of-eth-after-9-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=21467","title":{"rendered":"Ether Whale Dumps $22M of ETH After 9 Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Ether (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/price\/ethereum\/\" target=\"_blank\">ETH<\/a>) fell to a two-year low of $1,412 this week and the volatility appears to have been too much for one long-time holder, who sold of the majority of their stash acquired at around $8 in 2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/etherscan.io\/address\/0x0f520e011280a6685b992d21da2138857391a387\" target=\"_blank\">On-chain data<\/a> shows that the wallet in question swapped 14,015 ETH for $22 million USDC over a 15-hour period on decentralized exchange Uniswap.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.sanity.io\/images\/s3y3vcno\/production\/a32b313f05cbb771c63b6b04f53b0fbdee3abdd9-2746x1196.png?auto=format\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>The investor also sold 6,630 ETH in May 2022 and 4,035 ETH in June 2023 \u2014  each time during a major market dip. <\/p>\n<p>This time was no different with ETH having just tumbled from a cycle high of $4,000 in December. They still hold 521 ETH valued at $830,000.<\/p>\n<p>ETH has rebounded in line with the wider market on Thursday, currently trading at $1,598 having risen by 8.2% in the past 24 hours.
