{"id":22374,"date":"2025-04-16T14:02:05","date_gmt":"2025-04-16T14:02:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=22374"},"modified":"2025-04-16T14:02:05","modified_gmt":"2025-04-16T14:02:05","slug":"mantra-plans-comprehensive-burn-program-of-om-following-90-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=22374","title":{"rendered":"Mantra Plans &#8216;Comprehensive Burn Program&#8217; of OM Following 90% Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Real-world asset project Mantra plans to create a comprehensive burn program for its OM token, CEO John Mullin <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jp_mullin888\/status\/1912409616203555046\" target=\"_blank\">said in an X post Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mullin was responding to a post which said he was planning to burn his team&#8217;s tokens to win back the trust of the community after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2025\/04\/14\/mantra-s-om-crashes-90-in-bizarre-selloff-as-team-alleges-forced-liquidations\" target=\"_blank\">OM abruptly lost over 0% of its value<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To be 100% clear, I am stating that I am burning MY team tokens, and we will create a comprehensive burn program for other parts of the OM supply,&#8221; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Token burns refer to the process of permanently removing a proportion of a cryptocurrency&#8217;s supply from circulation in order to increase the value of the tokens that remain.<\/p>\n<p>OM fell from over $6 to under $0.45 in a matter of hours on no sudden catalyst. <\/p>\n<p>Mullin blamed the drop on exchanges closing OM positions, but not everybody was buying this explanation. OKX founder Start Xu referred to the incident as &#8220;a big scandal.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>OM <a href=\"https:\/\/coinmarketcap.com\/currencies\/mantra\/\" target=\"_blank\">trades at around $0.81<\/a> at the time of writing, 87% lower than its price prior to Tueday&#8217;s events.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Real-world asset project Mantra plans to create a comprehensive burn program for its OM token, CEO John Mullin said in an X post Wednesday.
