The pro-industry candidate\u2019s victory made the market surge nearly 7% in the last 24 hours, sending Bitcoin (BTC), the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, to its most recent all-time high (ATH) of $75,358.<\/p>\n

Justin Sun joined several other industry figures reacting<\/a> to Donald Trump\u2019s victory at the November 5 election. Tron\u2019s founder congratulated the Republican politician on X, hoping for a friendly approach that helps develop and improve the industry in the future:<\/p>\n

He also asked what would happen to the SEC\u2019s chairman, Gary Gensler, now that Trump was elected President. It\u2019s worth noting that the newly elected President pledged to fire Gensler on his first day in office.<\/p>\n

The SEC\u2019s chairman<\/a> is widely known in the community for leading the regulator\u2019s crackdown on the sector and \u201cregulation by enforcement\u201d approach, which has been heavily criticized over the years.<\/p>\n

Sun jokingly asserted that the community should have an \u201cinclusive heart\u201d and offered to hire Gensler \u201cif he can genuinely treat the industry with sincerity.\u201d A community member suggested Sun to \u201chire him with 0 power & jurisdiction over anything, just have him watching from the sidelines like he did to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coinbase\u2019s Chief Legal Officer (CLO) Paul Grewal also addressed<\/a> the US regulatory agency following Trump\u2019s win. Grewal hopes the SEC will understand that the election\u2019s result implies that \u201con many issues,\u201d including crypto, \u201cthe voters said loud and clear that they want a change.\u201d<\/p>\n

The CLO urged the SEC to stop suing crypto companies and start talking to the industry instead, asserting there\u2019s no reason to wait to initiate better rulemaking. Similarly, Coinbase\u2019s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Brian Armstrong, highlighted<\/a> crypto voters\u2019 victory.<\/p>\n
