That cements Tether as a significant shareholder and hints at deeper involvement in the governance and financial future of one of Europe\u2019s most storied sports institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Juventus, founded in 1897 and with 36 league titles to its name, is a major club in Italian and European football. Tether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/02\/14\/usdt-issuer-tether-acquires-stake-in-football-club-juventus\">originally acquired <\/a>an 8.2% stake in the club back in February.<\/p>\n<p>Tether\u2019s CEO Paolo Ardoino described the deal as more than a financial investment. \u201cWe believe Juventus is uniquely positioned to lead both on the field and in embracing technology that can elevate fan engagement, digital experiences, and financial resilience. We\u2019re excited about the opportunities ahead,\u201d Ardoino said.<\/p>\n<p>The company also expressed willingness to join future capital infusions to \u201chelp strengthen Juventus\u2019s financial foundation and avoid dilution of its position.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n<p>The stablecoin giant, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/01\/30\/tether-reports-usd13b-profit-for-2024-with-rising-bitcoin-gold-prices-contributing\">reported $13 billion in profit last year,<\/a> has been investing in a number of sectors.
