{"id":24068,"date":"2025-04-27T20:02:29","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T20:02:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=24068"},"modified":"2025-04-27T20:02:29","modified_gmt":"2025-04-27T20:02:29","slug":"half-of-crypto-traders-believe-ai-will-outperform-humans-in-trading-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=24068","title":{"rendered":"Half of Crypto Traders Believe AI Will Outperform Humans in Trading: Survey\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>According to a CoinGecko survey published on April 23, 47% to 49% of people said that AI agents will be better at crypto trading and investing than humans.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining half of the participants <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/research\/publications\/crypto-ai-trading-investing-opinions\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">believed<\/a> AI does not have an edge over humans in the crypto market yet, \u201cwhich suggests that opinions are still divided over this comparison,\u201d reported CoinGecko research analyst Yuqian Lim.<\/p>\n<p>The most common view was that AI will \u201csometimes\u201d outperform humans in both trading and investing.<\/p>\n<h2>1 in 7 Would Trust AI With Portfolio<\/h2>\n<p>Around 36% of respondents expressed willingness to let AI agents manage a majority, 60%, of their crypto portfolio. However, 15% of crypto investors said they would trust AI with their entire portfolio.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201c1 in 7 participants either think they can completely trust AI agents with all of their crypto, or believe the potential profits will outweigh the risks, or simply have a high risk tolerance for their crypto holdings.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">We asked: \u201cAI agents can be trusted to access and manage your crypto wallets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how people responded:<br \/>\n\u2022 Strongly Disagree \u2013 19.8%<br \/>\n\u2022 Disagree \u2013 17.7%<br \/>\n\u2022 Neutral \u2013 27.9%<br \/>\n\u2022 Agree \u2013 16.0%<br \/>\n\u2022 Strongly agree \u2013 18.5%<\/p>\n<p>What might be the reason? <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/14.0.0\/72x72\/2b07.png\" alt=\"\u2b07\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\"><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CoinGecko (@coingecko) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/coingecko\/status\/1915027881195110868?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">April 23, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Opinion is split on trusting AI with crypto wallets, with 37% distrusting AI, 34% trusting AI, and 28% neutral. Around 13% said they would not trust AI with any portion of their crypto portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>When it came to crypto trading, 13% believed AI agents would only rarely outperform humans, and 9% believed that would never happen. Large centralized exchanges such as Binance offer AI bot trading services to their users.<\/p>\n<p>There are several benefits to using <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/best-crypto-ai-trading-bots\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">AI trading bots<\/a>, such as speed, logic, automation, and around-the-clock trading. But they also come with inherent risks such as failing under pressure, misreading data, and being locked inside \u201cblack boxes\u201d with no transparency or reasoning.<\/p>\n<p>The study polled 2,632 crypto market participants between Feb. 20 and March 10, 2025.<\/p>\n<h2>AI Tokens Lead Market Recovery<\/h2>\n<p>More than $250 billion has entered crypto markets since the beginning of this week, pushing total capitalization <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/crypto-market-cap-tops-3t-in-6-week-high-as-altcoins-catch-up\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">over $3 trillion<\/a> once again.
