Despite the resurgence, its overall performance in the last several months remains unsatisfactory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The popular X user Carl Moon <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheMoonCarl\/status\/1917900418983542954\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">revealed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to his 1.5 million followers on X that Ethereum (ETH) has been falling for five months <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in a row<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. In February, for instance, the price collapsed by nearly 32%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Carl Moon, however, pointed out that May has historically been one of the most positive periods for the asset. ETH has posted losses in only three out of ten Mays <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">throughout its history<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. The ongoing month has also delivered the highest average gains over the years \u2013 around 27.31%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">X user SHERIFF <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DaSheriffCrypto\/status\/1918264895193145347\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">shared<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> a similar thesis. They outlined that ETH bled out in seven out of the last eight months. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The negative performance was also combined<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> with low sentiment and \u201cdead\u201d volatility. On the other hand, these are the times when \u201cthe next big move brews,\u201d the analyst claimed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For his part, Merlijn The Trader made an interesting comparison between Bitcoin\u2019s performance in 2020-2021 and Ethereum\u2019s recent structure. He predicted a potential price explosion if \u201chistory is on our side,\u201d adding that he\u2019s \u201cloading ETH.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">In 2020, Bitcoin consolidated at $8K\u2026<br \/>\nMost ignored it.
