{"id":25321,"date":"2025-05-06T06:46:54","date_gmt":"2025-05-06T06:46:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=25321"},"modified":"2025-05-06T06:46:54","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T06:46:54","slug":"corporations-could-add-330b-to-bitcoin-treasuries-in-next-5-years-bernstein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=25321","title":{"rendered":"Corporations Could Add $330B to Bitcoin Treasuries in Next 5 Years: Bernstein"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>According to recent Bernstein research, corporations could invest up to $330 billion in Bitcoin over the next five years.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe expect around $330 billion corporate treasury-led inflows to Bitcoin by 2029,\u201d the analysts stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This potential shift suggests <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/5-signals-that-show-most-bullish-bitcoin-setup-since-2020\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Bitcoin<\/a> is evolving from a speculative asset to a legitimate corporate treasury option.\u00a0They added that, over the next five years, \u201cwe expect listed corporates to allocate around $205 billion in capital for Bitcoin acquisition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This will be led by \u201csmall-low growth companies, trying to emulate Strategy\u2019s Bitcoin treasury model,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Bernstein: \u201cWe expect ~$330Bn corporate treasury led inflows to Bitcoin by 2029E.<br \/>\nOver the next 5 years (CY25E-29E), we expect listed corporates to allocate ~$205Bn capital for Bitcoin acquisition, led by small-low growth companies, trying to emulate MSTR\u2019s Bitcoin treasury\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RPgXkLG1Gt\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/RPgXkLG1Gt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 matthew sigel, recovering CFA (@matthew_sigel) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/matthew_sigel\/status\/1919352139337388357?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">May 5, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Corporate Accumulation<\/h2>\n<p>Researchers at the wealth management giant predicted that companies with $100 million or more in cash reserves could contribute $190 billion to BTC allocations.\u00a0High-growth smaller firms might add $11 billion by 2026, and even conservative estimates suggest $5 billion could come from ten large firms by 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers made most of their predictions by comparing them to Michael Saylor\u2019s Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) model, which has been a huge success.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIn our bull case, we expect another $124 billion in inflows from Strategy alone, reaffirmed by their recently upsized capital raise plans,\u201d they stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Small companies with low growth and high cash have a \u201cbetter market fit with the Strategy Bitcoin playbook,\u201d they said before adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThere is no visible road ahead for them for value creation, and the success of the MSTR model offers them a rare growth path.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, Bernstein cautioned that not every company can successfully replicate Strategy\u2019s model, and its performance is heavily dependent on Bitcoin price movements.<\/p>\n<h2>Strategy: The Industry Leader<\/h2>\n<p>Michael Saylor\u2019s software firm spent more than $180 million to acquire <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/saylors-strategy-makes-another-bitcoin-acquisition-bringing-total-to-555450-btc\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">an additional 1,895 BTC<\/a> on May 5.\u00a0This brings the total holdings to 555,450 BTC, worth a whopping $52.5 billion at current market prices.<\/p>\n<p>The firm has a dollar cost average purchase price of $68,569 per BTC, which has yielded an unrealized profit of almost 38%, or more than $14 billion, <a href=\"https:\/\/saylortracker.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">according<\/a> to the Saylor Tracker.<\/p>\n<p>This has also been reflected in the firm\u2019s share prices, which are up 97% since the beginning of the year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/finance\/quote\/MSTR:NASDAQ?window=YTD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">according<\/a> to Google Finance. Comparatively, Bitcoin is trading very close to the levels it changed hands for on January 1.<\/p>\n<p>According to BitBO, public companies collectively hold more than 723,000 BTC worth over $68 billion.
