It authorizes the New Hampshire state Treasurer to purchase Bitcoin and other digital assets with market caps above $500 billion. Florida\u2019s House Bill 487 and Senate Bill 550 have been \u201cindefinitely postponed and withdrawn from consideration,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/Session\/Bill\/2025\/487\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\">according<\/a> to the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>The bills, which were introduced in February, would have allowed Florida\u2019s chief financial officer and the State Board of Administration to invest up to 10% of certain state funds into Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/arizona-legislature-passes-landmark-bitcoin-investment-bills\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Arizona<\/a> also took a step backward when Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed a similar bill, HB 1025, and labelled digital assets \u201cuntested investments\u201d on May 3.<\/p>\n<p>The state has another chance to establish a Bitcoin reserve, as similar legislation, HB 1371, has yet to reach a final vote.
